Kris holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin. Her career began as a graphic designer in Minneapolis, working for more than a decade with clients including Disney, Delta Airlines, Acura and Toyota. She left the agency world to start a company called GoWear; designing a brand of skydiving t-shirts popular with skydivers around the world. (Kris has been skydiving since 1987, logging more than 3500 jumps.)
A life-long love of patterns, fabrics and interior design eventually led her to surface design. She has developed a fresh, colorful style which combines elements of Scandinavian design with influences from artists like Keith Haring and Henri Matisse. It's a style as modern as it is timeless giving it a wide ranging appeal. In addition to the dozens of products she has designed for Housewares International, you can find her artwork on area rugs, kitchen linens, and wall decor.
